IIT Tirupati 3D Prints

During my 2 months of internship at IIT Tirupati,apart from the main project, we were also given a free hand to explore the world of 3D Printing, which I did, as much as I could.

We explored:

-Printing hinges and understanding the ideal positioning of models
-Slicing techniques and efficient support utilization
-Various tricks to optimize prints

Most of our designs were created from scratch to experiment and learn. Check out the video below to see the models we printed. The best learning experience would be the small box at the end of the video, which features a supportless roll hinge with a snap joint, printed as a single piece. We also mastered printing snap joints to connect multiple parts and create larger models.
